Let Go or Move On

My professor asked the class,

“What is more important – to move on or to let go?”

“Let go,” answered one.

“Move on,” shouted the other.

Everyone is in a chaotic chorus of let go’s and move on’s with the addition of boisterous laughter.

“No,” he finally said. “Both are important. To be able to move on, you must let go first.”

And it struck me, fully aware now that the reason I haven’t moved on is that I haven’t let go.

Now, it is time for me to unshackle the chain of pain in my heart. Thank you for making me realize it.

Let go then move on.
